This early pincushion doll is just 5 1/2” tall. She carries her little satchel which holds sewing pins. Doll wears her original clothing consisting of a brown cotton dress with black cape and red ribbon at neck. 
Doll is on a wooden base. I believe her head to be of composition but may be clay.
